NEET-SS 2023 exam Postponed.
In a recent News, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEEMS) has announced the postponement of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2023. This decision comes as the 18th G20 Summit, scheduled for September 9th and 10th, 2023, overlaps with the previously planned NEET-SS examination dates.

Rescheduling due to G20 Summit:

The NEET-SS 2023 examination, originally set to take place across the nation on September 9th and 10th, has been deferred due to the security measures imposed for the G20 Summit. From September 8 to September 10, 2023, Delhi will act as host to the G20 Summit. The NBEEMS emphasized that this rescheduling is a precautionary measure aligned with the security restrictions associated with the Summit.

Exception for Srinagar Candidates:

Although Srinagar was initially not recognized as an examination city due to security concerns, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has requested an additional examination center for candidates from Srinagar.

Admit Card Release:

According to the updated schedule, the NEET-SS 2023 admit cards will be issued on September 4th, 2023. The NEET-SS is a single-eligibility-cum-ranking examination for admission to various DM/MCh and DNB Super Speciality courses.

Participating Institutions:

Notable institutions like AIIMS, New Delhi, and other AIIMS across the country, PGIMER Chandigarh, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru, SCTIMST Trivandrum, and Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, will not be participating in DM/MCh courses through NEET-SS for the year 2023, as per the information brochure.

Question Paper Pattern:

The NEET-SS 2023 question paper will comprise 60% questions from the Super Speciality category and 40% from the Feeder Broad Speciality category. In a two and a half hour duration, candidates must answer up to 150 questions.
